1. When does
The Non-Stop Big Day Out start and finish?
The Live Big Day Out stream starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm.
2. I can see the live stream player but it is
blank?
The stream may take a few moments to load
- depending on your internet connection speed.
If after a few
minutes you are still having problems please refresh or close your
browser and try again.
3. I can't see the live stream
player?
Do you have Flash player installed on
your computer? If you don't you will see a message on the player window
that says "download Flash player" You need it do this to view the
stream. Download and
install it
now (its free and only takes a
minute).
In order to see the control panel and select the bit rate suited to your connection, hover at the bottom of the player, as shown below, and select your desired rate.
4. Can I change the volume on the player or watch in
fullscreen?
Yes, if you place your mouse over the
video player window a grey control bar will appear at the bottom.
You can stop the player, adjust the volume and show in
fullscreen mode on this control bar.

5. The video jumps and doesn't play fluidly for me what can I
do?
You may be watching a higher bitrate than
your internet connection can maintain. Click ”Bitrate: 768k” at the
bottom of the video and select from the lower bitrates. Also, ensure
others are not using the Internet on your network as you will all be
competing for the available bandwidth.
6. Audio issues
The Non-Stop Big Day Out Gig is being
recorded live in a concert environment. The level and quality of sound
may fluctuate throughout the day. And there will be a lot of background noise.
7. How much
data will I use when I watch the Non-Stop Big Day Out
stream?
We offer four different bitrates. Please
use the table below to work out how much data transfer there will be
for each of these.

8. Streaming Technology
Backup
In the unlikely event that our Flash
stream does
not work, we will stream the Non-Stop Big Day Out on Windows Media, in which
case you need Windows
Media Player or Flip4Mac
installed on your computer.
Please note - Windows
Media is a back-up option only so you only need to download Windows
Media Player if the flash stream is not working.
If it is still not
working
- If you are still having problems please refresh or
close your browser and try again.

- Tell us what type of browser you are using (Internet
Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc) and what type of internet connection you
have.
