Jason Desrouleaux, better know as Jason Derülo is an American singer, songwriter, actor and dancer.

Before making his own music DeRulo was producing records for a number of artists and writing songs for Cash Money Records.

 

He later signed to a minor recording label called Beluga Heights. Beluga Heights then became part of the Warner Music Group, after which, he released his debut single, "Whatcha Say" in May of 2009.

The song was a huge hit, selling over 2 million digital downloads, & gaining the certification of 2x platinum and reaching #1 in the US and many other countries across the globe.

Derülo released his second single, "In My Head", in December of 2009, followed by his self-titled debut album this March.
