NZ ON AIR FUNDING
NZ On Air offers funding for artists/repertoire owners to assist with the costs of producing a music video. Download the application form from the NZ On Air website. In every round, 28 music video grants will be funded $5,000 each, totaling 168 videos funded annually.
Objective
To fund music videos for broadcast on music television shows and music television channels and in turn increase the number of local songs played on commercial radio.
Criteria
To be eligible for Music Video Funding, the submitted song must exhibit potential for radio and television airplay.
Music video funding is available to the repertoire owner. The applicant cannot apply for New Recording Artist funding for the same song at the same time.
There are no restrictions on the number of music videos that can be applied for, if unsuccessful though, the submitted song can only be applied for twice.
